Burial
Each package below includes everything necessary for a funeral.
Our Morning, Afternoon and Simple Service packages include a burial plot with a simple marker, a personal funeral director to make all the necessary arrangements, collection of your loved one within a 30-mile radius, visits to our chapel of rest, a celebrant, playing of music, a coffin and bearers.
They also include the use of one of our hearses or a handcart, subject to an individual review of the arrangements. Additional charges may apply for out-of-hours collection or collection beyond the included radius.
Fixed cost: £3,495
The Simple Service
A 9am service, of 30 minutes, in our chapel followed by the burial.
A burial plot at Memorial Woodlands with a simple marker is included, however this offer does not include the use of the reception rooms.

A morning funeral held from 10.15am to 12.45pm. Plenty of time for a service, followed by refreshments and hospitality in our reception rooms. A burial plot at Memorial Woodlands with a simple marker is included.

An afternoon funeral held from 2pm to 5.30pm. Over three hours to say goodbye, including a service and use of our reception rooms for refreshments and hospitality. A burial plot at Memorial Woodlands with a simple marker is included.

The Unattended
For those who would prefer a simple burial at minimum expense, while providing a dignified resting place for loved ones to visit.
This package includes a burial plot with a simple marker at Memorial Woodlands and collection of your loved one within a 50-mile radius.
No mourners attend the burial, but you will be notified once it has taken place.
Bespoke
Choose a full or half day to create an unhurried funeral shaped around your wishes.
We can arrange orders of service, flowers, an organist, a choir, bagpipers or buglers, vintage and historic hearses, limousines and a choice of refreshments.
Please talk to us about your requirements so we can provide a personalised quotation. Refreshment options vary according to the service; our Hospitality Manager can explain the choices available and their costs.

Your personal funeral director
Before the day of the funeral, your funeral director will:
- Meet with you to provide support, guidance and advice, including completion of all necessary documentation.
- Liaise with third parties, including doctors, hospitals, hospices, homes, coroners, crematoria, cemeteries, celebrants or ministers.
- Arrange notices, flowers and orders of service.
- Arrange any requested visits to see your loved one in the Chapel of Rest.
On the day of the funeral, your funeral director will:
- Organise the hearse and all necessary staff, fulfilling your requests and any special requirements.
- Manage the music, pall bearers, floral tributes and any other services requested.
Services provided to your loved one
- Your personal funeral director will arrange for your loved one to be brought into Memorial Woodlands’ care as soon as possible.
- Following your wishes, Memorial Woodlands will care for, prepare and dress the deceased for the funeral and any requested visits.
- A hearse will be provided for the coffin to be transported, escorting the deceased to the location of the service and committal.
We offer morning, afternoon and all-day services, giving family and friends the time, space and privacy to celebrate a life without feeling rushed. Our beautiful Georgian Chapel and adjoining Reception Rooms are set within private gardens overlooking a tranquil pond, providing a peaceful setting for funeral and memorial services of any denomination, faith or belief.
You may choose to provide your own refreshments, or Memorial Woodlands can arrange catering for your guests.
