Funerals During COVID-19 Coronavirus
Memorial Woodlands – GROUNDS
Our grounds are open, as normal, to those wishing to pay their respects.
Memorial Woodlands – OFFICE
If you need to attend at the offices please telephone 01454 414999. Our team will be pleased to help but may do so only on a “strictly by appointment” basis.
Memorial Woodlands – MEMORIAL SERVICES
If you have been obliged to organise a simple or unattended funeral our team will be pleased to help you arrange a memorial service with a reception and moments of reflection at the plot side once current restrictions have been lifted. You may wish to consider a small arrangement of an hour or so, a half-day event with the use of our chapel and reception rooms or an occasion lasting the whole day, with generous time and space for the celebration of a life.
Memorial Woodlands – FUNERALS
To support our local community during this difficult time, we have reduced the costs of funerals and unattended burials.
Our team will speak to you about what you feel is most appropriate. Please telephone for advice and guidance.
We also have the option of an unattended burial at £1495-00, this will include all costs that are necessary for a funeral.
Those families who use one of these options will be given the opportunity of the use of our chapel and reception rooms, together with a short plot side remembrance once the current situation is behind us. They can opt for the whole day or part of the day for such an occasion and the team will be pleased to discuss dates, details and costs when you are ready.
Our team will help you to arrange each detail. You may wish to order flowers. You may have particular thoughts on how your service should be carried out.
Our team are working to best practice under the Coronavirus guidelines and you will accept that things are unusual. We are asking families to carefully consider who should attend. We would prefer to limit attendance to between fifteen and twenty people and expect each family, or household, to honour the social distancing guidelines both for the sake of themselves and our team members.
Team members will inevitably be wearing some protective clothing and coffins, for example, must be kept free of unnecessary contact.
We strive to carry out each event with the utmost dignity that current health and after restrictions will permit.
