An Invitation to Our Candlelit Service
On Sunday, 29th October 2017 Memorial Woodlands invite all members of the local community to remember friends and family who have passed, and to celebrate their lives at our annual candlelit service on All Souls Day. The service is non-religious and will include poems, readings and songs led by The Edge Choir from Wotton.
The candlelit service will be held in the walled garden and chapel at Memorial Woodlands, managed by Martin Bithrey and led by Christine Lunt.
Memorial Woodlands will give everyone a living, commemorative flame to hold throughout the half-hour service, before forming a circle of light around the William Denning Memorial Tree. After that we’ll head to our Georgian reception rooms for light refreshments.
Whilst we provide shelter from the elements, please wear warm, waterproof clothing.
You do not need to book for this event.
The service starts at 6pm but please arrive a little earlier to give time to park before we begin.
We look forward to seeing you.
