Attending a funeral

  • Dear all

I have wanted to write this letter for many days but it has taken me a while before I felt able to do it. I would like to thank you all for making Nick’s funeral not a sad occasion but a very lovely one.

So many people have said what a wonderful ‘send-off’ Nick had and what a beautiful place Woodlands is. It is a very beautiful place but it is you, the team, who make it so special. From the moment Alan came to collect Nick I knew he was in the right hands.

The day was perfect – the chapel, the flowers, the service, the party but it is you, Alan, that my heartfelt thanks goes [sic] to. You were so kind and led us, Nick’s three girls, to choose the best possible ending for him. Thank you so very much.
