What is a Woodland Burial?
Our woodland burials combine a final resting place with the conservation of nature. Embracing the tradition of nature reserves in protecting our countryside, we aired working to create new areas of diverse flora and fauna by the planting of trees, native to the British Isles, in close proximity to our plots. This is not just a symbol of life, strength, and family continuity; it also contributes to the woodland's development, offering a lasting and evolving memorial for loved ones, a lasting gift to the environment for future generations.
Are there options for cremation?
We have a choice of thoughtfully designed offers that cater to various cremation preferences, including an option for an unattended cremation. Each offer provides for all the necessary elements of a funeral service. In addition, we provide a plot for the interment of ashes, ensuring a tranquil and dignified final resting place within our beautiful grounds. These packages are crafted to provide ease in decision making and comfort during a difficult time, allowing for a respectful and meaningful farewell. The Unattended Cremation Package For those who have requested a no fuss funeral, whilst providing a dignified resting place to visit. This includes the collection of your loved one within a 50-mile radius during office hours, care and support from our dedicated funeral directors, a simple coffin, an unattended cremation with an ashes interment in a plot within our grounds with a simple marker. We will provide you with the information regarding the date and time on which the ashes interment will take place. Fixed Cost: £1750 The Simple Nine O’clock Cremation Service Package For a simple chapel service & ashes interment. This includes the collection of your loved one within a 30-mile radius during office hours, care and support from our dedicated funeral directors, a simple coffin, the use of our chapel for a 30-minute service, a celebrant to hold the service, an unattended cremation with an ashes interment in a plot within our grounds with a simple marker. Can I pre-purchase a plot?
Yes. We offer the option to pre-purchase a burial plot at any time and we are pleased to accommodate cultural and religious preferences or requirements. There is the choice of selecting a plot within our dedicated Jewish cemetery, the Meadows of Peace Muslim cemetery, or within our woodland cemeteries. This pre-purchase option ensures that your final resting place will be in line with your personal, cultural, or religious beliefs, providing peace of mind for you and for your loved ones.
